Getting Here
We greatly appreciate you flying to our wedding. We prioritized choosing a country with an advanced train system (since not all of our guests drive), so the hotel is accessible without a car. Please note our event on the 30th starts at 6:00pm, but you may check-in already at 3:00pm!
Your options once you’ve arrived in Zurich Airport:
✤ Option 1: Public transport (~2.5-3 hours total). Trains are very scenic in Switzerland, we recommend taking them if you have enough time on the 30th. You can think of this option in two steps. Step one (Airport to Lucerne): Without a car, you will first travel to Lucerne by train (~75 minutes). Note, the station at Zurich airport is Zürich Flughafen, and the station in downtown Zurich is Zurich HB. We highly recommend downloading Switzerland's train ticketing app SBB (https://apps.apple.com/us/app/sbb-mobile/id294855237) in advance and getting acquainted with train schedules. Step two (Lucerne to Villa Honegg): Once you have trained to Lucerne, you have two options — you can a taxi to the hotel (~30 minutes), or, take another (local) train and bus following Google Map instructions to arrive at the Ennetbürgen Dorf stop from which the hotel can pick you up (~75 minutes). ✤ Option 2: Driving (~1-1.5 hours). For those renting a car, the hotel is approximately an hour drive, and the hotel has parking.
✤ Option 3: Private Car (~1-1.5 hours) For those looking to hire a private car, you may google options for approximately $250 per car.
For departure, the reverse of course is all possible. If you need the hotel to arrange a taxi at departure, it doesn't hurt to let them know in advance by emailing info@villa-honegg.ch
